SADBHAVANA DIWAS

The birth anniversary of Late Prime Minister Sri. Rajiv Gandhi is celebrated as Sadbhavana Diwas. This day is important as it inculcates the feeling of goodwill among the people. The day becomes more important to Navodayans because Navodayas are his brain-children which were started way back in 1986 during his Prime Ministership.
The clubs of CCA and Pace Setting Activities organized a programme in the Morning Prayer assembly in which the portrait of Sri. Rajiv Gandhi was garlanded and the lamp was lit. Students rendered songs in praise of the late leader whose vision has given a shape to the nation. The students in their speeches recalled the contributions of Rajiv Gandhi in various fields. Sri. A. Chandra Babu, PGT Geography coined some slogans and made the students raise the same. Sri. C.M.V. Seshu, TGT Maths, spoke about the late leader’s life and his special achievements in politics. Sri. Roopender Singh recalled good leadership qualities which Rajiv Gandhi possessed.
A rally was taken out to Vattem village and a visit was paid to Prashanthi Nilayam, a home for aged at Bijnepally. The inmates of the home were distribute sweets and fruits.
